Special “Maya Viewline Service” and “Free Direct Shuttle Bus Service” in Commemoration of the Arrival of the Cruise Ship and Kobe Tourism Day!
In commemoration of the arrival of the “Celebrity Millennium” large-scale cruise ship and “Kobe Tourism Day,” the Maya Viewline will be operating under the following special schedule.
Additionally, we will also be offering a free direct shuttle bus service that will connect Port Terminal with the “Maya Viewline.” These bus services are available not only to cruise ship passengers, and they will also be offered to the general public as well.
■Maya Viewline (Maya Cable Car and Ropeway) Special Operating Schedule
October 2nd, 2018 (Tue.)
Starting from 2:40 p.m. and onward. Final inbound ride leaving from Hoshi no Eki Station at 8:50 p.m.
*Although ride services are typically suspended on Tuesdays, rides will be provided as part of the special operating schedule.
November 12th, 2018 (Mon.)
Starting from 10:00 a.m. and onward. Final inbound ride leaving from Hoshi no Eki Station at 8:50 p.m.
*As part of the special operating schedule, rides will be provided later into the night.
■Free Direct Shuttle Bus Operating Schedule (Between Port Terminal and Maya Cable Station)

October 2nd (Tue.) and November 12th (Mon.), 2018
Starting from 2:00 p.m. (buses leave every 30-minutes). Final ride departing at 7:30 p.m.
October 3rd, 2018 (Wed.)
starting from 9:30 a.m. (buses leave every 30-minutes). Final ride departing at 1:30 p.m.

October 2nd (Tue.) and November 12th (Mon.), 2018
Starting from 3:45 p.m. (buses leave every 30-minutes). Final ride departing at 9:15 p.m.

*Boarding location: Port Terminal 3rd floor bus boarding area
*No reservation required.

(1) “Zen Mediation Experience and Buddhist Statue Viewing at Maya Tenjō-ji (Temple)”
At the Maya Tenjō-ji (temple), which is famous for being dedicated to Queen Maya, birth mother of Gautama Buddha, a high priest will lead a simplified Zen meditation experience geared toward foreign tourists, and visitors will also be able to view its brilliantly colorful Buddhist statues.
Date and time: October 2nd (Tue.) and November 12th (Mon.) 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Meeting-place: Maya Ropeway Hoshi no Eki Station at 3:40 p.m.
Participants: Cruise ship passengers given first priority. Limited to 20 participants.
(2) “Mt. Maya Gift Making,” “Corner to Experience Nostalgic Games,” “Hammock Café”
We will be conducting a popular craft-making workshop that involves raffia-fiber pendant-making. Participants can take home the gift that they make during this activity. There will also be a corner where participants can experience playing with nostalgic Japanese toys, such as kendama (cup-and-ball game), Japanese yo-yos, and origami, etc. Visitors can also use brushes to experience practicing Japanese calligraphy. Additionally, hammocks will be installed at Kikuseidai Park, and a limited-time café will be opened to allow guests to spend a leisurely time enjoying coffee blends provided by local coffee manufacturer Hagihara Coffee.
Date and time: October 3rd (Wed.) 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Place: Kikuseidai Park (in the event of inclement weather: Maya View Terrace 702)
Participants: Open to the general public
(3) Maya Viewline “Instagram Photo Contest 2018” Campaign
We will be offering commemorative presents for visitors that post their photos for the “Instagram Photo Contest 2018.”
Date and time: October 2nd (Tue.) and November 12th (Mon.) 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
October 3rd (Wed.) 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Place: Maya Ropeway Hoshi no Eki Station
Participants: Open to the general public
Commemorative present: Postcard or transparent file folder (while supplies last)
(4) Commemorative Photography Services
We can assist you in taking commemorative photographs of your family and friends using your smartphone, etc. Use the on-site original Maya Viewline props to create enjoyable memories during your trip.

(5) Kobe Tourism Day Commemorative Ropeway Goods Present
We will be giving away Ropeway related goods to the first 200 visitors arriving at Maya Cable Station starting from the first ride of the day.
Date and time: October 3rd (Wed.) starting from the first ride at 10:00 a.m. and onward.
Place: Maya Cable Station
Participants: You must purchase a boarding ticket on the day of the event to be eligible.
